Language processing in the brain after stroke
This study uses a non-invasive brain imaging technique called functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) to measure brain activity during language tasks in individuals with aphasia due to stroke and in individuals who have not had a stroke. We want to better understand brain function after stroke and aphasia.
Word finding treatment for aphasia
In this study, people with aphasia will complete up to 30 hours of treatment to help with finding words. We are looking at how to personalize therapy so we are working on the words that are most important to you.
